READING NOW

Finished CITY OF THIEVES a few weeks ago and was a good read... loved the idea of it and the execution.

City of Thieves City of Thieves by David Benioff

Good read... I was not as carried away as I was by David Benioff's first novel... but one can't get carried away all the time!

And I'd been putting off reading Englander's novel... not wanting to be dissappointed by a writer who hadn't put anything out for a while and then there I was with the novel.

Painful to read. Admire the writing and the way the research moved almost seamlessly to underpin the novel. Really worth the wait from this writer.

After that, it took me a while to start reading my next novel. This time, it is T. C. Boyle's, the women. I'm not sure how I'll go with this. Will let you know.
The Women The Women by T.C. Boyle

Slow starting for me... my husband was the same... still, I admire the range of Boyle's work...
